Past Events: 2021 - 2022

Spring Community Engagement
The Class of '97 is celebrating their 25th reunion and, as part of a new initiative called Princeton in Communities, has organized a community engagement opportunity to serve at Community First! Village. Register & see more details here.

Hike with Penn: Walnut Creek
PCA is hosting a hike at Walnut Creek together with the Penn & Wharton Club of Austin this coming May 1st. We will be meeting near the Walnut Creek Metropolitan Playground and wait up to 10 minutes before starting. Look for alumni wearing orange, black, red, or blue! For anyone interested in post-hike refreshments, we’ll head to the nearby Domain afterwards.

Violet Crown Hike
Join fellow Tigers and hike on favorite, beautiful Austin trails. We had to cancel this hike in November due to heavy rain - hope the weather will be better this time!

Lunar New Year Dim Sum
The Year of the Tiger is almost upon us! In collaboration with the Asian American Alumni Association of Princeton (A4P), we're eager to celebrate with fellow Tigers at our inaugural Lunar New Year Dim Sum brunch in Austin! We have tables reserved on the outdoor heated patio of Wu Chow in downtown Austin. Please register here for the event. No pre-payment is required, but bring cash and expect to pay ~$30 per person. Dues-paying members will get $5 off their bill. Thank you to Po Wah Moon '15 for being our event champion!
Happy New Year! Gung Hay Fat Choy! Xin nián kuài lè!

Hockey Night
PCA will be co-hosting a watch event for the Princeton-Cornell Hockey game with our friends from the Cornell Club of Austin. We will be seated at the covered patio at Black Sheep Lodge. Come on out to support your alma mater!

Service Day: Landscape Learning
Let's get together outdoors to participate in Landscape Learning Day for our 2022 Service Day!
We will spend the morning learning about the local flora and fauna, then volunteers will have an opportunity to work in the landscape. This is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience with planting native seeds and removing invasive plants. Wear your Princeton orange & black, and we’ll also provide snacks and awesome orange KN95 masks!
The PCA RSVP (for snack & mask planning) is here and Museum Volunteer registration link is here. Please fill out both!

PCA Holiday Party
We’re reviving the annual holiday party! Bring your families and enjoy some Tiger company. There will be a face painter & sports activities for the kids and plenty of food & drinks for all to enjoy.
Thank you to Brent & Hilary Bellm '97 who have graciously offered to host the party this year. Come and go anytime between 3-6pm. Event details & the address have been shared via a Paperless Post invite to all on our distribution list. Please contact us if you didn’t get the invite!

(CANCELLED) Violet Crown Hike
Due to the heavy rain forecast for Saturday morning, this hike is cancelled. We’ll reschedule for another time!

Hill of Life Hike
Come burn some calories to kickstart Thanksgiving Week at this beautiful trail by Barton Creek. Wear your orange & black! Alaka Halder ‘15 is your hiking host, and will wait up till 10 minutes before starting the hike.

Dog Romp in the Park
Bring your pups out to play at Zilker Park. Meet by the big rock in the center of the park. Come in your orange / Princeton attire and feel free to dress your dogs in orange and black!

Football Watch & Happy Hour
Princeton is up against Dartmouth for this Friday evening game! Come join us on the south side at The Park on South Lamar. We’ll grab some tables on the outdoor side patio. Wear your best orange & black. Go Tigers!

Group Hike
Enjoy a hike on this fun trail in Emma Long Metropolitan Park. Turkey Creek Trail is 2.5 miles long and has multiple creek crossing (usually you can get across easily with the stepping stones, but if there have been recent heavy rains, bring shoes/boots you don’t mind getting wet). Dogs are allowed off-leash on this trail, so you must be comfortable with dogs if you plan to attend. Meet at the big trail map sign by the parking lot.
Note: you need to go a little bit past the Google Map location, and then you’ll see a large parking lot on the right. The trailhead is before the main Emma Long park entrance, so there aren’t any park entry fees for this trail!

Fall Kickoff & Homecoming Game Watch
Please join us at our fall kickoff & annual member meeting while we also cheer on our Tigers for the Princeton-Harvard football game! We'll have a very brief 'business meeting' during a break to elect our Board of Directors. There will be a TV/tailgate kit set up to watch the game as well as food & beverages. We have a few picnic tables, but feel free to bring some camping chairs if you’d like. The park is entirely fenced and has a fantastic playground for kids. We hope any students home for fall break can join us with their families.
Please RSVP here so we can plan food & beverages accordingly!

Group Nature Walk
Enjoy the beautiful fall weather with a walk in Brushy Creek Lake Park in Cedar Park. There are nice, paved paths and well-maintained trails, which are family and dog-friendly. Meet by the children’s playground and swings near the parking lot. All levels are welcome and comfortable walking shoes and water are a must.
